| Offer: Home Exchange, Vacation Rental |

Convenient, comfortable and attractive MONTREAL digs, up the block from N. America's largest market. Ask for photos. Attractively decorated and comfortable 5 1/2 apt.in a vibrant city. My Montreal neighborhood is a lively multicultural one with these nearby:
2 metro stations, numerous bus routes, Bixi public bike stations, and Highway 40;
the fabulous Jean-Talon Market and Little Italy;
abundant/varied ethnic stores/restaurants;
peaceful Jarry Park and the Uniprix Tennis Stadium (home of the world-class Rogers Cup Tennis Tournament in August);
the "mountain" (Mont Royal) and its extensive park;
~15-minute metro ride to downtown Montreal and Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal).
Btw: Helen, the creator of this super site, once stayed at my prior apt. (a few metro stations away) with her husband and her little daughter. She's written glowingly of our trade. Check out her reports through the related link below and the 5-star rating above.

There IS something for everyone here. An American, I fell in love with Montreal after just a short visit and decided to make it my home. It feels like a bit of Europe in N. America, but it`s generally much less costly than France!
In addition, Montreal is only about an hour from the Eastern Townships and The Laurentians (lovely mountainous areas with charming small towns, perfect for strolling, driving around, shopping, dining, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, water sports, etc.). A couple hours from the wonderful provincial capital -- historic and beautiful Quebec City, and from Canada`s capital city -- Ottawa.
French and English are spoken by most here.
Actvities within an hour's drive

Beaches Biking Boating Canoe/Kayaking Children's Activities Country Club Cultural/Tourist Attractions Fine Restaurants Galleries/Museums Health Club Hiking Horseback Riding Lakes Major Shopping Parks Public Golf/Tennis Skiing Spa Theatres About an hour from both the Eastern Townships and the Laurentians where downhill and crosscountry skiing is a delight when the conditions are right and the scenery and relaxed ambiance a joy throughout the year. Ottawa and Quebec City not far either!
